Welcome to the Department of Agricultural Machinery Engineering  

The Department of Agricultural Machinery Engineering offers the degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Mechanics of Agricultural Machinery. Due to the diverse nature of agriculture and the state of agricultural industry in Iran, the scope of the research by the department is wide and varied. The department has committed itself to helping the promotion of the engineering aspect of agriculture in the region. Solving common problems of agriculture along with imerging new technologies in agriculture and environmental sciences has provided a unique situation of multi-disciplinary research and scientific cooperation between this department and other departments within the College of Agriculture as well as other departments at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). Academic staff are involved in research areas including "tillage systems for crop production", "soil compaction", "physical and mechanical properties of agricultural materials and products", "farm machinery design, development and performance evaluation", "agricultural machinery systems planning and management", "agricultural mechanization extension", "post-harvesting processes" and "precision farming".
